About Milton Arts Council

Milton Arts Council, Inc. is a certified Georgia Nonprofit Corporation and is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Our all-volunteer corporate structure consists of a board of nine directors and several project sub-committees.

Our Mission Statement

The Milton Arts Council is a not-for-profit corporation created to advocate for, and participate in, the selection and interpretation of cultural art and cultural art events, to encourage local exploration, generate civic pride, showcase local artists, and increase tourism for the City of Milton, GA.

Create customized arts programs for all Milton citizens:

  • Youth
  • Adult
  • Seniors

Long Term Goals

Build a Milton Cultural Arts Center to serve as a central facility to house Milton’s arts programs including:

  • Performing arts stage
  • Citizen Meeting and Banquet Hall
  • Visual arts exhibit hall
  • Classroom for arts programs

Implementation Plans

  • Form partnerships with local schools, churches, civic organizations, and businesses
  • Create a list of proposed arts projects
  • Build an inventory of volunteers and their talents to match with proposed projects
  • Conduct public forums through a Citizen Advisory Board
  • Seek funding with project-specific grants from public and private sources
